Besides running the Organic Gardener's Pantry, Christina wears multiple garden hats.
She's a vendor at regional events, teaches organic horticulture classes and workshops, manages the Redfern Commons community garden in Victoria's South Jubilee neighbourhood, and offers gardening, design, and consultation services within greater Victoria.

Set yourself up for success with this practical and inspirational introduction to organic gardening. Join Christina Cook from the Organic Gardener's Pantry to discover the foundation of healthy fertile soil.
Christina will cover the multiple benefits of using organic maintenance practices and products to nurture soil-dwelling organisms below and produce abundant flowers and food gardens above.
Each participant will receive a copy of "The Essence of Organic Gardening", a handbook for ecologically-conscious gardeners, written by Heide Hermary, founder of Gaia College, and illustrated by Christina.

Beyond the Pile: Alternatives to Backyard Composting

Disenchanted with backyard composting? Smells, flies, critter trouble? Unsatisfactory results? We have the solutions! Join in for the "Beyond the Pile" Specialty Composting Workshop in Redfern Commons on June 6, at 2pm to 4pm (after the morning work party).
