Liquid Fish Hydrolysate Application
The hydrolysate is mixed with water in a watering can, sprayer, or irrigation system. It is best applied early in the morning, while evening would be the second choice. Preferably, liquid fish would be applied in smaller, regular does, monthly or even weekly.
If mixed with EM and water (and perhaps humic acids) and left to sit for a few hours before application (but not too long), the slight odour will be drastically reduced. Other than that, keep the container closed tightly and do not store the product in diluted form, as it will go rancid. Here are some application rates:
Foliar - 5 G/acre (430mL/1000sqft) of fish, diluted 1:50
Soil - 10G/acre (860ml/1000sqft) of fish, diluted 1:10
Turf - Castle Pines golf course applies 180mL/1000sqft weekly and as high as 540mL/1000 sq ft during heavy use such as tournament play.
Here is some more information on application rates. I advise going through them all, as the home and garden one alone is not really useful for every situation.
